ABSTRACT The knowledge of the adequate period for beginning weed management in lettuce crop can increase efficiency production, reducing costs with management. aim this study was to determine pre-interference (PIP), critical time removal (CTWR) and control (CPWC) three cultivars, Elisa, Lucy Brown Solaris. Coexistence absence weeds were evaluated each cultivar. design randomized blocks seven treatments (0, 7, 14, 21, 28, 35 42 days after transplanting - DAT) coexistence same periods four replicates experiment. highest infestation densities species Oxalis latifolia, Coronopus didymus Amaranthus hybridus. leaf area number leaves per plant reduced by up 50% 66%, respectively, relation longest yield 48% (Elisa), 40% (Lucy Brown) 33% (Solaris). cultivar Solaris showed greater tolerance interference. Based on yield, PIP 1, 3 DAT CTWR 37, 37 DAT, CPWC 2 cultivars Solaris, respectively.
